“We had a wonderful time because we had a wonderful guide”

“Encore une fois merci. Je garderai un merveilleux souvenir de cette visite magique et fort intéressante et ce, malgré la pluie!”

The ever-changing dynamism of London is a joy to share. I’ve been guiding the sights for t

he best part of 30 years – here’s to the next three decades! Let me show you around.

These days I am London-centric. There are so many things to see and do in this extraordinary city! However, to the new visitor and even the experienced… London presents a challenge and can be a tiny bit confusing. The main areas to concentrate on are the City of Westminster, the City of London and the River Thames. Tours can be taken in private vehicles (car or coach) on public transport (buses, tube, boat, and black cab) or if energy levels allow simply walking can offer some of the best insights.

London covers an area of some 610 sq. miles and has a population of almost 9 million so there's a huge amount to cover….

My 30 years of guiding

·      Shown 27,000+ visitors around town

·      Answered 15,000 questions (at least!)

·      Travelled to 50 countries both work & play

·      Taken 42,000+ photos

·      1.5 million ‘steps’ a year (before fitbits arrived)

·      Lost or worn out around 35 umbrellas

·      Collected a library of 375+ reference books (pre-internet of course)

·      Consumed 500+ Afternoon Teas with utmost relish

·      Tracked 14 Bengal Tigers

·      Swallowed a ton of vitamin tablets!
