my clients

I am as happy guiding an individual or a small group as I am a group of students or organising delegates for a large event. For me, the joy is in the research and creation of the very best experience for my clients.

Individuals and Families

I thoroughly enjoy showing families and small groups around this fabulous city.I love to tailor tours to suit individual needs and expectations.I will glean as much information as I can from you ie likes, dislikes, ‘must-sees’ and suggest an itinerary to hopefully suit all your requirements. This can be a fun process and is an important part of ‘building up a picture’ of personalities and interests.

Educational groups

My teacher mother brought me up to be curious, to learn, and to ask questions! Perhaps that’s why I am very comfortable leading schoolchildren and students of all ages.  On a good day, they are often the source of extraordinarily simple but probing questions. On a not-so-good day, my work is that of ‘cheerleader’ and ‘source of inspiration’. Years of experience has shown me that no one group is ever the same and adaptability is the keyword.

Incentive, DMC, and business tourism

This is where I started!  My background in events and conference work goes back to the beginnings of my career and has always come in handy when the guiding jobs have suffered a ‘downturn’ due to world events and circumstances beyond the industry’s control.

I worked for many years on Sony sales events all over the world looking after VIPs in Paris, Lisbon, Jamaica & Dubai.  My organisation skills were truly tested when travelling as Logistics Manager on financial roadshows.  Accompanying and advancing board members of international companies such as Granada TV, Thomson Holidays, and the Brisa group to Tokyo, New York, San Francisco, Frankfurt, and Zurich to set up potential investor meetings.  Companies such as HBOS, Maersk Shipping, and Visa have engaged me over the years to help run the mechanisms of registration, transport, and catering on site.

In a guiding capacity, I have worked for many years for Destination Management Companies offering tours to delegates and their partners on incentive programmes and business meetings.  It is always fun accompanying groups on special private visits to Westminster Abbey after public hours, cocktails in the Great Court at the British Museum, or evening functions at Guildhall but success inevitably depends upon great teamwork, professionalism, flexibility, good humour, and discretion.
